Falling Off is a myriad of old fuzz and new tweaked distortion. It is a collaboration, with a substantial story. The song was originally written by the band RVSP with singer Tayssa Hubert. RVSP is no more, but their songs still resonate with Sacha of Slant Six, Tayssa’s father. As a tribute song, Slant Six got permission to mess with it and made it their own. Slant Six was created in late 2015. Their music is influenced by many early music styles. Slant Six delivers an impressible heavy sound. Sacha Hubert is featured on lead vocals and is the bands paradigm. He is industrious, as he runs RCR Records an Indie label for his band, and others in Edmonton. Members of Slant Six are Chris Pigeot on Drums, Andrew Cheng and Nils Markstrom on Guitar and Dallas Heal on Bass. Slant Six like all others, saw live gigs axed due to the pandemic. The band has had to focus their efforts on using social media to reach larger numbers of fans.
While maintaining a #1 standing on the Edmonton Rock Charts on Reverb Nation, Slant Six proudly boasts airplay internationally. The band has achieved a top 10 status on Valley FM 89.5 in Australia, and KAOS FM 88.2 in New Zealand. Not to mention continuous worldwide airplay on Blast FM and AXIS Radio.
