Asia’s most prestigious contests are back with a brand new edition! By awarding the best work in nature and wildlife photography and filmmaking, we spark conversations, build awareness and inspire the community at large.

 

BANGALORE, IndiaJuly 27, 2022Senmer — Nature inFocus announced that there’s still time to enter its annual Nature inFocus Photography and Film Contest, and participate in the organization’s annual Festival. The event is Asia’s premier nature and wildlife festival and contest, to be held in the Garden City, Bengaluru. The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2022.

Photographers can register online and submit their entries. Individuals can view official rules online. There are some changes for this year’s competition. The cash prizes will be greater, a new category has been added, and more entries can be submitted.

Individuals can submit up to 30 entries, and young photographers can submit up to 15. Everyone that enters will receive a limited edition foldable dry fit cap. Depending on the category and how they place, there will be certificates, plaques, trophies and/or goodie bags for winners.

The Nature inFocus Photographer of the Year will win a 4-day, 5-night stay at the luxurious Jamoon resort in Corbett National Park. Known as “Corbett’s Hidden Treasure,” it’s located on the banks of River Ramganga at the edge of the Corbett Tiger Reserve in the Himalayan foothills.

The panel of judges will be comprised of award-winning wildlife photographers Andy Rouse and Dhritiman Mukherjee; Chief Naturalist at Jungle Lodges and Resorts, Karthikeyan S.; Business Head at RoundGlass Sustain, Neha Dara; National Geographic photographer, Prasenjeet Yadav; Director and Head of Science and Conservation at WCS-India, Dr. Vidya Athreya; and wildlife photographer, filmmaker and Jury Curator, Kalyan Varma.

Prizes are awarded in categories for professionals, emerging talents, and those under 17. The Nature inFocus Festival also features a wide variety of speakers who are experts in their field and winning entries receive attention in international publications.

Founded by Rohit and Kalyan Varma, the first contest was held in 2014. The event features the best in creative nature photography, animal portraits and conservation photography. Nature inFocus gives a voice to natural world storytellers, providing the world at large with information about wildlife in all its many forms, awareness of the challenges wildlife is facing, and conservation efforts.

There’s still time to enter the Nature inFocus Photo Contest and participate in its annual Festival. The prizes are larger this year and winners will receive extensive coverage in international media. It’s a unique opportunity for individuals to showcase their work in Asia’s largest premier wildlife-based competition.
