ENGLEWOOD, Fla.Sept. 30, 2022Senmer — As Hurricane Ian has passed over the state of Florida, the Capitol Homes team continues to assess the extent of the storm’s impact on our communities. We are thankful to be able to report that everyone on our staff has remained safe through the hurricane and we are in the process of updating our customers, suppliers and industry partners with everything we know thus far. As soon as conditions are safe and roads are drivable, we will be making rounds to assess all of our homesites.

The severity of the storm that impacted our area was catastrophic, but Floridians are tough and we will recover from any and all damage sustained by our communities. As a high Category 4 storm, Hurricane Ian had maximum sustained winds of 155 MPH and brought life-threatening storm surge. With widespread flooding, downed trees and damage to homes and businesses, our tight-knit community will work together to begin cleanup of the devastation left in Ian’s wake.

We are grateful to all our customers who have reached out to let us know they weathered the hurricane safely in their homes. Our goal has always been to build a home that is not only beautiful but safe. Once we are able, we will be providing further updates to everyone on their homes. Thank you for your patience as we survey the damage and begin the lengthy cleanup ahead of us.
